Great First Quarter of 2011!
For the months of January through March I’ve been working on some great projects and focusing on creative ways to bring my coaching programs to the masses! Here are some highlights:
- Dividing my time between instructional design projects and my “other love” – my www.Explore-Wellness.combusiness. Check out this website for information on my CEU StrengthFinder course, health resources and Compass coaching programs.
- Working with Kimberly-Clark to roll out a new global wide program! This is the first time I’ve had the opportunity to convert a program into different languages – 2 Chinese dialects and Russian!
- Creating a wonderful program with www.MasteryWorks.com on coaching!
- Helping Chuck Roberts (former CNN anchor) prepare his presentations for his upcoming visit to China!
- Provided some samples of graphics for LeighAnne Langford to include in her blog.
Some other fun things that you may want to check out. Tony Rutigliano has released his new book, “Strengths Based Selling” and it offers some amazing insights. I’m developing a workshop and coaching program around the book and hope to have it available in May.
Event Packed Close of 2010!
November and December kept me hopping! What happened to slowing down for the holidays?? Ha! After a wonderful vacation with the family on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis, it was non-stop!
- Graphic Facilitation in Phoenix:
this was an amazing team meeting designed for strategic planning and to pull a new team together. Great interactions and conversations. Graphic facilitation and templates aided the team in their planning efforts. I’ll report back on their progress later in 2011! - StrengthFinder for Citrix:
Wonderful opportunity to introduce and coach a manager and her team to strengths and the power the StrengthsFinder concepts offer in team and people development. Amazing group of women I was privilaged to work with! (www.citrixonline.com) - Pilot of New Workshop with Vanderbilt:
Off to an amazing start! How exciting to launch this and get the feedback from Vanderbilt’s Athletic Training Team. Incrediably talented group of professionals! (Vanderbilt Website)
Weeks of Creativity & Productivity!!
What a great month September was… and October has been even better! Here are some highlights:
- Pulled all the pieces of the Results Workshop together and ran it for ADP on the 15th of October. Amazing conversations and ideas generated throughout the day. I will be spending the next 2 weeks transcribing and interviewing participants to put the final touches on the workshop before I offer it again. Looking to highlight it in an article before the end of the year.
- Discovered a wonderful new program that makes Life Coaching affordable for everyone! I’m pulling together “The Resource for Results” website – so stay tuned for more information!
- Created another version of my StrengthsFinder workshop. This one is designed specifically for personal trainers and individuals in the health & wellness field. It has been accepted by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as one of their Continuing Education offerings. I’ll be piloting it in December at Vanderbilt with their training team!
What? August is almost over??
Wow, what a crazy month! Besides sending the kids back to school (thank goodness!) here are some highlights:
- Moving forward with the pilot of the Results workshop. I am SO EXCITED to have the opportunity to pilot this with the ADP group. Since I know these folks, and they know me, I will get solid feedback on improvements so the workshop is ready for prime time! I’ve already been in conversation with Bill Brandon at the eLearning Guild about an article on the event.
- Spent considerable time this month focused on getting the www.explore-wellness.com site up. It is still coming together – but pop out and take a look.
- By the end of this month I will have completed more than half of the wellcoaches program and well on my way to becoming a Health & Wellness Coach. I’ve had some great practice coaching sessions and already developing my personal coaching resources. Fun!
All-in-all, I’m just trying to keep all of the balls in the air as I continue to make the transition over to owning my own buisness. Live is such a fun trip!
July is Off and Running…
So much for taking “a break” after finishing up with ADP. Things are already off and running! (and I am LOVING every minute of it.) Here are a few exciting things that kicked off my month.
- My article was published with www.traniningindustry.com on Wednesday – what a GREAT way to start the month of July! Love to hear your thoughts on the article. You do have to register on the site to view the article – but it is free and very, very worth it! Click here to take a look.
- I’m working with Bill Brandon at the eLearning Guild on another article that will be released mid-July. This article features the event for the ADP sales executives on coaching that used the iPad. The production company has a great video that highlights the iPad activity during the event. The end of the video shows the teams being photographed and a team raffle for an iPad! (All my hard work and I didn’t win one – such a bummer.)

- Collaborating with a few great folks to start a new ASTD Special Interest Group focused on Sales Training! Very Cool! Thanks to Eric Blumthal for inviting me to join the group.
- Finally, I’ll be working on pulling together the pilot materials for the new workshop I’ve developed based on Relevant, Role-Based and Results Oriented Learning. Click here to learn more about this “Results Workshop.”
Welcome!
June is proving to be an exciting month for me as I finish up as Director of Sales Training Curriculum at ADP and move on to new opportunities. My favorite things to do seem to be falling into place – which is remarkable! Here are some of the balls I’m currently juggling:
- Writing an article and case study on a recent workshop on Coaching where we used the new iPad – very cool!
- Writing another article on making training design, development and delivery more relevant, role-based and results orientated (I’ve got a workshop I’m designing and plan to pilot in July!)
- Working toward my Health & Wellness Coach Certification! (I will be official in September.)
- Lining up workshops for the months of July & August that focus on the concept presented by Simon Sinek at TED. Learning Organizations, Marketing & Sales need to figure this out!
I will continue to build this site and begin my blog! Thank you for your interest in my journey. Please feel free to post your comments.
